This book was so interesting to read about and even though I read it over a long span of time, it was always something I wanted to continue reading. This book had very few dull moments and when it comes out I will definitely be recommending this book to my friends that enjoy time travel and magic.
This book comes out on July 18th, 2017!
*I was sent this book by the publisher in exchange for an honest review and this in no way affected the review.*

I finished Unhooked by Lisa Maxwell in less then a day. I absolutely adore this retelling of Peter Pan. I loved the atmosphere of this story and getting to experience Never Land from a new perspective was one so rich I fell in love. This review is shorter then the others I’ve previously written and I’m not sure if thats a good thing or not.
For as long as she can remember, Gwendolyn Allister has never had a place to call home—all because her mother believes that monsters are hunting them. Now these delusions have brought them to London, far from the life Gwen had finally started to build for herself. The only saving grace is her best friend, Olivia, who’s coming with them for the summer.
But when Gwen and Olivia are kidnapped by shadowy creatures and taken to a world of flesh-eating sea hags and dangerous Fey, Gwen realizes her mom might have been sane all along.
The world Gwen finds herself in is called Neverland, yet it’s nothing like the stories. Here, good and evil lose their meaning and memories slip like water through her fingers. As Gwen struggles to remember where she came from and find a way home, she must choose between trusting the charming fairy-tale hero who says all the right things and the roguish young pirate who promises to keep her safe.
With time running out and her enemies closing in, Gwen is forced to face the truths she’s been hiding from all along. But will she be able to save Neverland without losing herself?
I ended up finishing this book way quicker then I thought I was going to, and I can only attribute that to the fact that it pulled me so far in to Never Land that I just couldn’t bear to leave it. This book isn’t a normal Peter Pan re-telling though, it’s kind of like an alternate reality. Not that Peter Pan is real, but this is opposite of everything in the original book (duh thats basically what the summary said). I absolutely loved this book for its unique take on the fictional world that is Never Land. This isn’t the perfect book though, the first part left me a bit confused but once Gwen was kidnapped it all was set right and the story went on with out a problem.
