I loved Six of Crows a lot and so I went into this book with high expectations. It didn’t disappoint. This book is almost everything I could have ever wanted to finish off the duology that is Six of Crows. There isn’t a dry or dull moment in this gigantic book and was a thrilling read from start to finish. I definitely recommend this series (duology) to anyone who loves a good young adult fantasy book and doesn’t mind that both books are quite large. While Leigh Bardugo also has another series (The Grisha series) I think I would personally recommend the Six of Crows series over it (The Grisha series) because the writing and story telling is just much better in her latest books.

This book has ruined me. I loved it so much that I’m beginning this review at 1am because I just can’t sleep after finishing it. This book came out September 29, 2015, and is by Leigh Bardugo (whom I love very very much). The book is told from 5 different POV’s but they are told so that it does not get confusing. This book is going to be the reason I fall asleep in class tomorrow, and I’m totally okay with that. I read the Grisha trilogy by Leigh and I absolutely loved it so when I had the chance to buy this gorgeous book, I took it. The hardcover is absolutely beautiful and I should probably stop talking about how pretty this book is and get into the summary and review.
Summary from Goodreads:
Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price—and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can’t pull it off alone…
A convict with a thirst for revenge.
A sharpshooter who can’t walk away from a wager.
A runaway with a privileged past.
A spy known as the Wraith.
A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums.
A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes.
Kaz’s crew are the only ones who might stand between the world and destruction—if they don’t kill each other first.
There are few books that I have read that don’t allow me to sleep. I love reading books like that. They are able to keep me so wrapped up in the story that I don’t know what is going on, or what time it is. Six of Crows did a fantastic job of keeping me invested in the story and in the characters. I fell in love with all the characters. They were amazing and I honestly want the 2nd book right now because I miss them already.
