Life After ★★★★★

5 stars

For me, this book was stuck between a 4.5 and a 5-star book and I think after everything, it is definitely a 5-star book. At first, I didn’t think I was going to enjoy this book a lot but once I started it was really hard to stop. This book deals with grief and I really enjoyed how it detailed a survivor’s life after a traumatic event. This book comes out on April 18th of this year and I will definatly buy it for friends as a gift.

Also, this is my 50th blog post!! I can’t believe that I’ve posted so much and I’m so excited that I’ve actually stuck to a schedule. I’ve also gotta say thank you to every single one of my followers. Without you guys, I probably would have slacked off with my posting and ended up only posting once a week.

Letters To The Lost ★★★★★

4.5 stars

It’s been a while since I’ve read a book that stops me from going to sleep on Sunday night. I was up until 1am, I tried to stop half way through the book but I just had to find out what happened next. This book has left me itching to write a review so I sat in English today writing a quick draft. This book is coming out April 4th and I’m definitely going to be recommending it to my friends because it is such a gripping novel. This book caught me in its trap around the 100-page mark and from there I had no choice but to finish it at once.

The Bone Witch ★★★★☆

3.5 stars

I really enjoyed this book and how at the end of every chapter it was set in the present while the rest of the chapter was her telling her story. I think it was the best way to tell the story and made put you in the same position as the man hearing the story for the first time.

The Inexplicable Logic of My Life ★★★★☆

4 stars

I’m not entirely sure where to start this review. Maybe I should start by saying that I loved reading Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, which the man who wrote this book also wrote. Benjamin Alire Sáenz has a whimsical way of writing and I love reading any of his books. This book wasn’t really an exception but it didn’t leave me wanting to read more. I understand that this book follows a family and it is basically a record of their lives but it just wasn’t as gripping as Aristotle and Dante. I never thought about putting the book aside and throwing it into my DNF pile, so at least there’s that.

February Book Haul!

What? A post on Monday? Yeah, I figured that I would post on Monday so that my scheduled posts wouldn’t be moved around. So it’s almost the last day of February and I’ve never done a monthly book haul so I figured I would do one now. These are either books I bought, E-books I received for review or physical books that I received for review. I figured I would do a book haul for the month instead of a wrap up this month and maybe I’ll do a wrap-up for March.
