Let’s talk about A Court of Thorns and Roses

So if you couldn’t tell, or you’re new to my blog, I love the Court of Thorns and Roses series. To death. I consider it my favorite new adult series and I just really like talking about it. Like, if I could talk about this book all day, I probably would.

The first time I ever really fell in love with a series like this was with the Tigers Curse series by Colleen Hooke. Then, after being introduced to YA books, I fell in love with the Mortal Instruments series, and I still love it. I think the TMI series will always have a special place in my heart because I have so many memories with it. It’s weird to think that a series can change you but it really did change the way I saw reading.

Now, back to ACOTAR because that’s what you are all here for. I hope.

So, I don’t actually love love love the first book in this series. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great 5 star book but I definitely prefer the other two books. It’s to the point where I will pick them both up, sit in bed, and flip to the scenes that I’ve marked just so that I can go back into the world. This happened a few days ago and I basically ended up reading half of each book because I got sucked back into the story.

I just can’t get enough of this series because it is everywhere I look. I mean, that’s kind of what I wanted when I followed so many accounts that only post stuff about ACOTAR. I follow accounts on Tumblr, Instagram, and Twitter and it is one of the best things that I’ve done. I love reading the discussions between fans and just readings AU’s (alternate universes) where the characters are just living.

These books are also gorgeous to look at! Like, have you seen the design on them? They’re just so pretty and I love looking at them before I finally open them up to reimmerse myself into the wonderful world of Feyre and Rhysand. I can’t get enough of their world and every so often I just have the urge to go back into their world. They’ve become something special to me and I really love them. I honestly can’t wait until the next book (or novella) comes out because it’s going to be so amazing!

I know this isn’t the longest post, or the most informative but I just wanted to talk about something I love. If any of you feel like discussing (or fangirling) about this series, definitely comment because I absolutely love talking about ACOTAR.

A Court of Wings and Ruin ★★★★★

4.85 stars

This book was so good I devoured it. I just couldn’t stop reading it and I loved it. The only complaint I have is that the pages are so thin. Like hi no I want a thick book with nice pages (not that the pages aren’t nice but ya’know). This book was fast paced and I’m really happy that it ended up being a total of 705. I know this is the last book with Feyre and Rhysand as the main characters but I cannot wait for the novellas to come out next year!

I’ve made this review 100% spoiler free for this book in the series but if you haven’t read the first 2 books I would recommend against reading this review.

A Court of Mist and Fury (A Court of Thorns and Roses #2) ★★★★★

5 stars

Okay wow. I got this book the day it was released (thank you Amazon prime for your speedy shipping) and I literally devoured the book in about a day. I loved this book so much and I will probably end up reading it over again at least twice before the next book comes out next year. I’m still upset that I have to wait a year to see what happens to Feyre and Rhysand (Lucien and Tamlin too of course).

I could not put this book down. I fell so in love with this book I’ve thought of not much else for 2 days. I was so worried that the book would end with a cliffhanger and thank god it hadn’t or else I would probably be losing my mind right about now. The next book comes out on May 3rd and I’m so excited to continue reading about Feyre and the entire faerie world.
