You’re Not Good Enough Book Tag!

This tag was created by ReadLikeWildfire and Beccathebookreviewer, and basically what you have to do is write down 30 character names on pieces of paper, put them in a bowl or cup, and then choose two random pieces of paper for each question. There are 15 questions in this tag, and after you’ve picked two characters, you decide which one of them fits the question/situation best, and which one isn’t “good enough”. I decided to do the same kind of image to display the 2 characters but I

I decided to do the same kind of image to display the 2 characters but I’m not sure how I feel about the look of it. I thought it was just something different then just having the words written out.

This just looked like a really fun tag and even though the name looks a little odd on such a nice background, I think it was an interesting idea.

Game of Thrones Book Tag

As someone who really loves Game of Thrones, I thought this tag was something worth doing! I had to actually look around at my bookshelf for some of these characters because I needed inspiration. I’m not sure who created this version of the tag but all credit goes to them! I also tag anyone whos interested in Game of Thrones and YA books!

I really don’t like Katniss and Peeta together but I also really can’t get behind the shipping of Sebastian and Clary in the Mortal Instruments (even if very few people ship them).

6. LADY OLENNA: A BADASS OLDER CHARACTER

giphy (1).gif

Minerva McGonagall and Magnus Bane are some bad ass characters even though they both might be well over the age of 50.

7. SANSA STARK: A CHARACTER YOU GREW TO LOVE

The Malchai, Corsai, Sunai from This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab are definitely some of the more creepy monsters in YA literature

The Gilmore Girls Book Tag

Hello! Hello! I found a Gilmore Girls book tag! My mum and I watch the show together a lot and so this tag was something I just had to do! I did get rid of some of the characters off this list because it was really long and I wasn’t going to pick a book for each of the many many characters off of the show. I also included gifs for this tag! I got all of them off of google images and I really like what it adds to the tag!!

Lorelei- A character with a witty or sarcastic sense of humor

His-sarcasm-highest-order.gif

Tyrion Lannister is someone who I’d definitely consider to be witty and sarcastic.

Rory- Your favorite classic

raw.gif

Alice in Wonderland, Sherlock Holmes or Animal Farm. I can never pick just one.

Luke- A book you secretly love but are afraid to admit.

Screen Shot 2017-04-22 at 6.58.41 PM

I’m not really afraid to admit I love any book, but, I really did enjoy the Twilight series and the Selection series by Kiera Cass

Lane- A musical character

23299512

August Flynn from the Monsters of Verity duology by Victoria Schwab is the first musical character that comes to mind for a recent read.

Dean- Your first book love

tenor (1).gif

As in book I first loved? I think maybe Tigers Curse by Colleen Houck. If it means the first character I loved then it’s more than likely going to be Jace Herondale.

Sooki- A book you’ve devoured

33309773

I flew through the House of Night series so fast, I loved it in middle school! But I recently just devoured More Than This by Patrick Ness! I read it on the bus on the way to Northern Ireland and it was such a good read!

Jess- A book you love, that gets the most hate.

Red_Queen_book_cover

Tigers Curse doesn’t get a lot of hate right now but Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard is. I don’t love Red Queen but I certainly don’t hate it.

Miss Patty- A book that was ruined by the hype

giphy

Any of John Greens books because I went into them expecting so much more than I got. Especially Paper Towns.

Emily Gilmore- An expensive book

f69ad46f33a5ce68edcbe52801629cd6

My edition of Sherlock Holmes that I got from 221B Bakers Street in London!! It’s beautiful though so it’s all right.

Richard Gilmore- A character death you will never get over

DobbyDisapperates.gif

This is probably the most common answer but as of right now I can’t think of any one else except for Dobby the house elf from Harry Potter.

Michel- A book with a character who has an accent

giphy (1).gif

Outlander, of course, has Jamie and his wonderful Scottish accent

Babette and Morey- A couple you couldn’t imagine not being together

tumblr_mupxnvwCCj1s9dltyo1_500.gif

Clary and Jace because they were my first otp and they’re just amazing together.

How I Choose My Books Tag

I’ve finally put up my shelves and took pictures of each of the books for this tag! This is my last post before school officially starts and I’m just hoping that I can keep a consistent schedule because it really means a lot to me.

Find a book on your shelves with a blue cover. What made you pick up that book in the first place?

IMG_1698

Goodbye Days by Jeff Zentner and I picked this book up because I fell in love with The Serpent King after I got it in my Owlcrate. TSK has officially made Jeff Zentner an auto buy author for me and so that’s basically why I bought this book and I’m really happy I did.

Think of a book you didn’t expect to enjoy but did. Why did you read it in the first place?

Confess by Colleen Hoover and I read this book because I was going on a long road trip from northern Colorado to the southern part and I was looking for a book to read in Barnes and Noble. This was a book I was debating and if anything I thought it would be a book I only liked a little but I ended up really loving it.

Stand in front of your bookshelf with your eyes closed and pick a book at random. How did you discover this book?

IMG_1699

Into the Dim by Janet B. Taylor! I actually checked this book out after getting a pin with the logo on it from a book festival I went to a year or so ago and while I still haven’t read it, I’m excited to.

Pick a book that someone personally recommended to you. What did you think of it?

IMG_1700

Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick! I read this book such a long time ago that all I can remember was that 7th grade me really did love it. I don’t think I’d have the same opinion if I picked it up now but who knows.

Pick a book you discovered through book blogs. Did it live up to the hype?

IMG_1703

Wink Poppy Midnight by April Genevieve Tucholke. If you’ve seen my review of this book than you already know the answer but no, this book sadly did not live up to the hype. It just fell short for me and I wish it hadn’t but what can you do.

Find a book on your shelves with a one word title. What drew you to this book?

IMG_1711

Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout!! I had heard so much about this book from booktubers and just people in bookstores but omg I fell in love with the cover and the idea of aliens living among people.

What book did you discover through a film/TV adaptation?

IMG_1702

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson!

Think of your all-time favourite books. When did you read these and why did you pick them up in the first place?

IMG_1708

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas!!! I adore this book, as anyone who’s read more than two of my book tags can tell you, and I picked it up because I really enjoyed the first book in the trilogy.

IMG_1705

Outlander by Dianna Gabaldon! I picked this book up because I’ve always liked historical fiction and Scotland was always on my list of places I wanted to visit so it was a no brainer from me!

IMG_1709

Scythe by Neal Shusterman! This book was one that I bought based only on the blurb because of how interesting it sounded!

IMG_1710

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo! This book was one I just had to get because I love Leigh Bardugo’s writing style and when I heard about who the characters were I just knew it was going to be good!

The Blogger Stats Book Tag

Woop woop it’s time for another book tag! I thought this one was interesting and it’s more blog related so I thought it would be really cool to do. I’m not sure who made this but all credit goes to them for the tag!
