I’ve fallen in love with A Court of Wings and Ruin and I am officially out of my book slump! This basically means you can all expect more reviews and fewer book tags! I’m thinking about doing book discussions but I’m not entirely sure as of right now but I’ll keep you all updated. Update: review to come on Tuesday!
This tag was created by Emmabooks on youtube and you can click here to watch her video (it’s really great I definitely recommend it).
1. Totally should’ve gotten a sequel
The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon should have a sequel because I would really like to see what happens with Daniel and Natasha after the ending.
2. Totally should’ve had a spin-off series
I feel like everyone says this but I really wish Harry Potter would have a spin-off series about the Marauders because I would really love to hear more about them.
3. An author who totally should write more books
I would really love to read some more books from Amy Alward. She is the author of the Potion trilogy. Erin Morgenstern should also write some more books because I loved The Night Circus and would love to read more from her.
4. A character who totally should’ve ended up with someone else
I honestly cannot think of any pairing that I was unhappy about but that might just be because if I didn’t like them I forget about them.
5. Totally should’ve ended differently
Allegiant by Veronica Roth because to me the ending seemed like a cop-out and while I am all for sad endings, this one was predictable the minute I saw more than one POV. Also, I wish Me Before You by Jojo Moyes had ended differently but I totally get why it ended the way it did.
6. Totally should’ve had a movie franchise
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare because to me it would have been better as a movie series. Not only would it have a larger budget but I could go to midnight premiers (and I love those). I also loved the movie cast so that is always a good thing.
7. Totally should’ve had a TV show
The Lux series or like Emma said in her video, Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
8. Totally should’ve had only one point of view
I feel like Allegiant should have maintained one POV until the ending because having the duel POV made the ending incredibly predictable.
9. Totally should have a cover change
Fallen by Lauren Kate or The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins because they just aren’t the most appealing books to look at.
10. Totally should’ve kept the original covers
The Winners curse trilogy had such a terrible cover change and I really wish they hadn’t because now they’re kind of ugly.
11. Totally should’ve stopped at book one
Normally I don’t start a series and think that there shouldn’t be any more books but with the Matched trilogy there definitely didn’t need to be more than one book. The Giver and To Kill A Mocking Bird were also some books that didn’t need another book and I don’t plan on reading then next book in either series anytime soon. Especially Go Set A Watchman because not even Harper Lee wanted the book to be published.
