Book Haul and March TBR

Okay so, I bought some books. I went to Barnes and Noble to buy just one but then I just had to buy another two. On top of that, I have a few books for review that I need to read. Oops. I just can’t deny the fact that I love pretty books.

Okay so here are some of my recent purchases and the books I have for review:

Empress of a Thousand Skies by Rhoda Belleza

This book is so pretty and it’s not long so when I saw it sitting on the counter I just had to buy it. I normally don’t like buying hardcover books in store because you can get them online at a discount but today I just wanted to hang out at the bookstore for a little while.

The Wish Granter by C. J. Redwine

Now, I read the first book, The Shadow Queen, and I had no idea that the second book had come out already. So, I obviously bought it when I realized what it was. This is a series but each book is a stand-alone so you don’t have to read them in order. They are each fairytale retellings and are set in adjoining kingdoms. I’m very excited to get around to this book.

City of Saints & Thieves by Natalie C. Anderson

I bought this book in preparation for a book signing I am going to on March 11th. But, this book looks so amazing I would have bought it anyway. I love the cover and I really think that the story inside will be just as amazing.

Things We Lost in the Fire by Mariana Enríquez

I received this book from in exchange for an honest review and I’m so excited to read it. This book is a collection of stories about women in Argentina and each story sounds amazing. I will most likely read one or two stories at a time and then write a short review about each one. I’ll probably make one large post though and then give the entire book a rating and quick review.

The Traitors Kiss by Erin Beaty

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review and I’m very interested to read it. Not only is this book stunning, but it seems to have a very interesting plot and I love reading about strong female characters.

I also bought one of Barnes and Nobles reusable bags because it was so cute and it has a quote from Charles William Eliot on it. The quote reads “Books are the quietest and most constant of friends” and it is a light purple bag. I really love buying these because I use them when grocery shopping or when I check out more than three books from the library.

Now for my March TBR:

Ensnared by Rita Stradling

The Roanoke Girls by Amy Engel

I’ve already finished this book and will have a review for it up sometime later this month.

Golden Son by Pierce Brown

The Traitors Kiss by Erin Beaty

Gemina by Amie Kaufman and  Jay Kristoff

Pale Highway by Nicholas Conley

Kings Cage by Victoria Aveyard

Things We Lost in the Fire by Mariana Enríquez
