January Wrap Up

Just some general January things I happened to love 🙂

Books I’ve read:

I didn’t read very many books last month but I did read four so at least there’s that.

I read Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake, Scythe by Neil Shusterman, Uncle Toms Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe and Red Rising by Pierce Brown.

I loved this book and I honestly cannot wait for the second book to come out. The plot of this book kept me interested and I couldn’t figure out which sister I wanted to root for (I still can’t chose to be quite honest).

This book was a little bit slow in the beginig but once it got started it became very fast paced and interesting. I loved the entire idea of the book and couldn’t put it down once I got passed the half way point.

I read this book for my US history class and it wasn’t the worst but some parts of the book were difficult to read. The significance of the book is what pushed me to get passed the negatives and finish it so that I could understand how bad the situation in the book was.

I’m going to have a review for this book up soon but I really enjoyed it and I’m going to be starting Golden Son soon!

Tv shows and Movies I’ve Watched and enjoyed:

The Magician:

I started this tv show without knowing anything about it and I’m really happy that I did because it ended up being incredibly entertaining. I finished the entire first season in about a day and a half and now I can’t wait to start watching the second season! I would definitely recommend this show to anyone who likes a slightly paranormal magical show with a very interesting plot.

I’ve been watching Dexter on and off since last year but throughout January I finally got through the first season and I’ve started to watch an episode almost every day. I would definitely recommend this show to anyone who enjoys watching crime shows like Criminal Minds and CSI.

Boo: A Medea Halloween:

I really wanted to watch this movie when it came out last year but I never got around to seeing it in theaters so when I saw that the Redbox had it I just had to rent it. It was a funny and easy going movie and definitely provided me with a much-needed break from my school work.

Underworld: Blood Wars:

I loved this movie a great deal because there was action and the story line was incredible. I’m so happy that I got to see it in theaters because the entire atmosphere made the experience that much better.
