I loved Six of Crows a lot and so I went into this book with high expectations. It didn’t disappoint. This book is almost everything I could have ever wanted to finish off the duology that is Six of Crows. There isn’t a dry or dull moment in this gigantic book and was a thrilling read from start to finish. I definitely recommend this series (duology) to anyone who loves a good young adult fantasy book and doesn’t mind that both books are quite large. While Leigh Bardugo also has another series (The Grisha series) I think I would personally recommend the Six of Crows series over it (The Grisha series) because the writing and story telling is just much better in her latest books.

Honestly, I loved this book and its spin on the Alice and Wonderland universe. It was such a great read and it was definitely worth staying up till 3 am to finish. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves Alice in Wonderland or is even just a good book about a villain’s backstory.

I won’t say that I didn’t enjoy this book because I did, I just think it could have been better. This book is about a young girl with a rare disease and its kind of like the movie bubble boy that came out in 2001. For me, this book was an incredibly short read and I ended up finishing it in one night. I hadn’t planned to but it was such a fast paced book I didn’t want to put it down till I had finished it.

This book was so difficult to read in the beginning, I just couldn’t get into it enough to actually want to read it. I had to stop reading after about 80 or so pages and pick up another book because this book wasn’t doing anything for me in the reading department. I thought I was in a reading slump but it turned out to just be this book. It started to pick up about 125ish pages in and after the 15o page mark it became a really good book.

I only ended up getting this book from the library because I couldn’t get into the book I was currently reading. This book was an unexpected read for this month and I don’t really regret it. I’m always a sucker for a good romance book and this one was no exception, I loved it. It wasn’t exactly what I was expecting and honestly that was a nice surprise.
